Construction Forman

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

Supervise and direct the work of construction crews, ensuring they follow safety protocols and project plans. Lead by example, demonstrating strong work ethic and technical skills. Motivate and train workers, providing feedback and guidance. Resolve conflicts and address issues effectively.
Project Management:

Read and interpret project plans and specifications. Schedule and coordinate tasks to meet project deadlines. Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and manpower. Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and problems. Prepare reports on project status to management.
Safety and compliance:

Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and procedures. Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and safe to use. Train workers on safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communication:

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients. Maintain accurate records of work performed and project progress. Conveying instructions and addressing any issues that may arise.
Problem Solving:

Identify and address problems as they arise, ensuring that the project stays on track.
Documentation:

Creating reports on project progress and other relevant information.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years working experience Formal training or Project Management or any other construction qualification will be an advantage. Driver's License Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of construction techniques and building codes. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Ability to read and interpret design plans. Proficiency in scheduling and project management. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and work overtime where needed Experience with construction equipment and tools. Have very good time management and able to work to strict deadlines Software Proficiency: Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google apps,

Work Location: Roodepoort Discovery

Work Hours: Monday to Friday 06:30am in the office for the meeting of the work for the day, workers are to be collected from other sites along with the other drivers at 16:00 we cannot guarantee what time you will be at home. Collection starts at 16:00.
