Location: Killarney Gardens, Cape Town
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (occasional Saturdays)
Salary: R16,000 - R20,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
Start Date: 1 August
Benefits: 50% contribution toward pension insurance
Our client in Killarney Gardens is looking for an experienced Forklift Technician to join their team. This role is suited for someone with strong mechanical skills, hands-on experience working on various vehicles, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and repair forklifts and other lifting equipment
- Work on hydraulics, auto-electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective action
- Travel to client sites after the initial training period
- Keep accurate maintenance and job records
- Valid Code 14 Driver's Licence with PDP
- Minimum 5 years' mechanical experience , including hydraulics and car electricals
- Comfortable working with a variety of car makes and models (not limited to one brand)
- Matric preferred, but not required if highly experienced
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn
- Must be able to work independently after training
