As a Forensic Investigator, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity and reputation of our organization by identifying and probing potentially fraudulent activities, misconduct, and compliance violations.   • Conduct comprehensive investigations by meticulously planning, executing fact-finding processes, collecting information and evidence, and skilfully analysing and linking findings to transgressions
  • Explore a broad spectrum of incidents occurring within all businesses served by the Forensic Services
  • Create detailed reports and affidavits concerning irregularities, regulatory violations, and criminal activities, and offer insightful recommendations for subsequent actions.
  • Recognize recurring patterns or trends and provide strategic recommendations for the implementation of preventive measures and the mitigation of risk areas
  • Serve as a witness in internal, regulatory, and criminal proceedings, providing expert testimony when required
  • Collaborate with and provide valuable support to Prosecuting and Regulatory authorities
  • Develop charges for the Human Resource Department, ensuring their inclusion in charge sheets for disciplinary hearings
Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field LLB, Accounting, or Forensic Science
  • Professional certifications in forensic investigation or related areas (Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Forensic Accountant)
Experience:
  • 3 / 5 years fraud investigation experience in the financial services industry, insurance exposure would be beneficial
  • Comprehensive understanding of the statutory framework, regulations, and legal principles relevant to the financial industry, including but not limited to FAIS, LTIA, FICA, PRECCA, POPIA, as well as the Criminal and Civil Procedure Act
  • Thorough knowledge of investigative methodology and techniques
  • Investigation experience in the area of financial crime
