Komatsu has an opportunity for a driven and ambitious Foreman with exceptional technical skills to join our team at Reman branch, Germiston. The successful candidate will have a relevant trade (HEM preferred), extensive experience in a workshop environment in surface mining and 2 or more years supervisory experience in a unionised environment as well as 4 or more years relevant experience.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Grade 12 or N3
Trade Certificate
Knowledge of and experience in planning, scheduling, and managing projects essential.
Valid driver's license a pre-requisite
Knowledge requirements:
Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Fundamentals of Labour relations Act.
Basic knowledge of SEIFSA agreements.
Computer literacy: Excel Basic; SAP basic.
Job Responsibilities:
Determines detailed priorities with regards to planned work.
Reports on section/project progress.
Provides input into the planning of the human capital requirements of the team/section.
Supervises the team.
Evaluates team members' achievement of results against agreed priorities within the performance management framework.
Provides input into planning the section's budget.
Submits staff S&T and overtime / expense claims for approval.
Communicates changes to policies & procedures to subordinate staff.
Plans the roll-out of contractual /service level agreements (SLA's) implementation.
Resolves issues /problems/conflict in a positive, win-win manner.
Remains up-to-date with Safety procedures.
Plans for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), with regards to dates, workshops, nomination of service, stock, and other resources.
Schedules, forecasts and plans Repairs and Maintenance in the maintenance planning system.
Machine inspections.
Parts and inventory management.
Recruitment and selection processes are managed according to Komatsu's B-BBEE policies
