Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Foreman Engineering to be placed in Venetia Mine. The successful candidate will report to the General Engineering Supervisor. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• xefxbbxbfManagement of all Electrical maintenance and installations to schedule
• Supervision and technical skills development of Artisans
• Ordering of equipment / machinery parts in a well-planned way
• Ensure that the site mining equipment and machinery is maintained according to maintenance schedule
• Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team player
• Effective staff and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
• Engineering installation are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
• Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Section 26 Electrican Trade Certificate/MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
• Engineering Foreman Certificate of Competence or proof of formal Supervisory Training in planning, leading, organising and control
• MS Office Proficient (Word & Excel)
• Valid EB Driverxe2x80x99s licence
• Sound verbal and written communication skills in English

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 or more mining industry experience (underground and surface)
• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 pratical experience as a Artisan, appointed in a legal position
• At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in MV switching
• At least 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience acting on a supervisory level as an Engineering Foreman
• At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience on underground development and construction
