Purpose of the Role:
As the Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the financial forecasting, planning, and analysis function. Your primary objective will be to optimize business plans and contribute to the company's financial success.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the compilation and preparation of annual financial budgets/LOM and periodic forecasts in collaboration with site/study leads, regional functional leads, and corporate finance team members.
• Preparing management reports as per the regional team's request, including Flash production reports, Monthly Reports, and Quarterly Management Reviews.
• Analysing and scrutinizing weekly and monthly results, as well as forecasts and outlooks prepared by operations.
• Developing and implementing consistent analytics to ensure the quality and accuracy of submissions while assessing operating and financial effectiveness and efficiency.
• Conducting bench-marking against other operations within the Group, identifying areas for improvement, and driving the execution of improvements with study leads.
• Enhancing commercial and cost awareness with study leads to support informed commercial decision-making and cost optimization.
• Supporting the consolidation team by researching and providing variance explanations for actual results, particularly related to costs and other P/L items against the budget on a monthly basis.
• Assisting in the quarterly NAV and opportunity analysis process.
• Taking full responsibility for the annual impairment testing process when required.
• Supporting the production of the Company's external financial statements and board reports, including operational commentary, on a quarterly basis.
• Driving the implementation of OneStream planning, ensuring a robust and agile planning software solution in collaboration with study leads.
• Providing financial modelling support to Growth/Evaluations teams and Strategic Matters teams.
• Completing ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate University Degree in finance or accounting.
• A post-Degree qualification or certification, such as CA(SA)
• Previous experience working for a Big 4 audit and advisory firm is advantageous.
• A proven track record in financial analytics and reporting, with prior experience in operational finance (e.g., Finance Manager) will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience working in the mining industry is non-negotiable.
