Technical Requirements:
Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Food Science or BTech Food Technology with 10-15 years of industry experience, including relevant retail experience.
Expertise in high- and low-risk food processing, cold chain management, food preparation stages, HACCP, GMP, and allergen management.
Knowledge of packaging functionality, environmental management, and sustainability.
Technical product knowledge encompassing characteristics, raw material sourcing, manufacturing processes, and safety parameters.

Desired Competencies and Skills:
Proven project management skills, ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
Comprehensive understanding of legislation, brand protection, and risk mitigation.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.

Sound business acumen and judgment, problem-solving approach, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Fluent in Afrikaans or English, with outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Maintain brand integrity and product safety, performing risk mitigation.
Contribute to the category strategy, ensuring innovative and safe products of consistent quality.
Develop high-quality products adhering to brand values.
Manage and monitor the technical team, aligning with the technical and category strategy.
Communicate effectively with buying, quality, and production teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Lead factory and product process audits, manage product specifications, and oversee quality management systems.
Provide technical input into category, quality management, and supplier strategies.
Oversee packaging development, nutritional information, allergen management, and supplier approval processes.
Troubleshoot customer complaints, uphold international standards, and ensure production efficiencies.

Salary on offer is R60,000 - R80,000 monthly based on candidates requirements.
