R5000 per month
Start Date: January 2024
Requirements:
Minimum qualification required for this position - Grade 10
Previous experience required for this position
Work experience in a similar environment will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
To perform a variety of manual tasks associated with food production and kitchen hygiene.
The Food Service Assistant's duties and responsibilities include:
Cleaning and preparation of vegetables, fruit, meat, chicken, fish or other food items used for cooking and preparation of meals.
Performing a variety of cleaning, fetching, carrying and similar tasks in the kitchen and work areas.
Cooking of simple foods.
Preparation and serving of meals and at functions.
Keeping the kitchen, dining hall and food storage areas clean and tidy according to the relevant Work Instructions.
Pack supplies in the food storage areas.
Any required washing up of items from the kitchen during the course of the shift.
Any other duties specific to an individual catering establishment
