What We Are Looking For
We are searching for someone who brings warmth, professionalism and a genuine love for people. The ideal Host will have:
A valid South African ID or work permit
A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
At least 2 years recent experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant as a host
A welcoming personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence in handling enquiries and reservations while keeping things running smoothly
A professional appearance, reliability and punctuality
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
A team spirit and a passion for making every guest feel truly special
What You Will Do
Welcome and seat guests with warmth and confidence, ensuring smooth table rotation
Manage reservations and coordinate seating plans to keep service flowing
Provide menus, introduce specials and support the waitron team where needed
Handle guest queries, requests and feedback with care and professionalism
Maintain a polished host stand and uphold presentation standards in the dining area
Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and hotel service standards
