Busy coctail bar and restaurant in Stellenbosch is looking for a FOH / Floor Manager. Responsibilities:

Engaging with the guests by being present, keeping an eye on service and constant interaction with guests and responding to their needs
Training and quality control of the staff & managing staff performance
Communicating relevant information to team, Manager and guests
Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
Planning rosters and managing stock flow
Implementing new and fresh service ideas, train, manage staff
Ensuring service standards are upheld and monitored.
Doing daily cash-ups and notifying any other departments/suppliers of relevant information
Forward planning of department, assist Junior Managers & Restaurant Manager on days off where duties need to be carried forward.
Compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
General administrative duties

Requirements:

Grade 12
Bilingual
2 - 3 years previous bar / restaurant management experience or similar role in the hospitality industry
Good knowledge of food and beverages, including dietaries, bar and cocktails
Team management & training abilities
Availability to work within opening hours (e.g., evenings, public holidays, weekends)
