Floor Manager, Retail, Linden
Job Description
My client, retail specialists in the field of textiles and haberdashery, is looking for a Floor Manager for their business based in Linden.
THIS IS A VERY EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN A COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN OPERATING IN JOHANNESBURG FORF 120 YEARS. Duties include managing staff on the floor, assisting customers, staff scheduling, providing training to staff, handling orders and communications, stock rotation and merchandising, optimising sales, general housekeeping, etc. Must be able to multi task.
6 day week, no Sundays.
The ideal candidate for this position must have a retail background including a management position. They must have knowledge/background/experience in textiles and enjoy handcrafts. Afrikaans is beneficial. Have reliable transport. Have excellent customer service skills and be hands-on. Work under pressure.
