Job Description


This role will assist in the day-to-day running as a Floor Manager for one of our Pet centres based in Fourways with the ultimate purpose of maximising sales and profitability. This role will also be responsible for excellent customer service in all aspects, professionally representing the Company by always being neat, well-presented and well-spoken.

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate.
  • No criminal record.
  • Proficient in Afrikaans.
  • Previous retail experience with pets will be advantageous.
Monthly task and activities:
  • Complete monthly non-Stock backorder investigation
  • Compiling and conducting risk audit report every three months
  • Staff roster and staff scheduling
  • Complete Steercom Ops Report.
  • Communicate Targets to Sales Reps.
  • Change merchandising layout of shop.
Daily tasks and activities:
  • Checking the cash up and banking detail daily
  • Assist with customer refunds
  • Ensure that staff purchases have been actioned according to the staff purchase policy.
  • Complete weekly alarm checks and maintain register.
  • Ensure that security is dressed correctly according to the company set standard.
  • Ensuring housekeeping and merchandising standards are kept up to date, neat and tidy
  • Daily floor walks
  • Stock adjustments for shop use
  • Store opening and closing as per schedule
  • Assist with overrides at till points, refunds if and where needed as well as credit notes
  • Feedback to the branch manager weekly
  • Supervising and planning of cleaning staff
  • Spot check of floats
  • Spot check key registers
  • Weekly check and sign off of Petty Cash
  • Maintain company policies and procedures
  • To positively contribute to team working in the shop
  • An eye and enthusiasm for tidiness and order, and attention to detail throughout the store
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Assist Branch manager with duties pertaining to customers when he/she is on leave, or out of the store
  • General store merchandising daily.
  • Enforce hazard count on the floor.
  • Manage price changes and enforce price changes.
  • General store maintenance management
  • Complete floor operations daily
