Car rental company Europcar is seeking a customer-oriented, deadline-driven individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment to join their team based at the Cape Town Depot as a Supervisor: Fleet
Supervisor: Fleet oversees all activities in the branch environment; ensuring that the team functions effectively in delivering high levels of customer service and fulfilling vehicle safety, quality control, risk management, and claims procedures. It is a role that demands high levels of resilience in carrying out the duties of the position and operating with a smile in Cape Town Depot which often throws a variety of challenges
To plan, manage and monitor the implementation of all fleet-related duties, activities and processes to ensure achievement of fleet optimization and utilization targets, operational excellence and control of business risk.
Minimum Experience
3 years of relevant fleet management experience within a similar environment (including at a super-visory/team lead level).
Minimum Qualification
Grade 12
Preferred Qualification
Relevant tertiary qualification at NQF5+ such as Fleet Management.
Minimum Requirements
Unendorsed valid driver's license
Computer literate, including an intermediate level of competency with Excel and Outlook.
Working knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment (BCEA).
Job Outputs:
Fleet Management
Monitor reservations (including customer special requests) for relevant branches for the week, plan fleet and source vehicles accordingly.
Supervise daily tasks and performance of team members.
Transferring cars between EC & TCH.
Sending vehicles for services and repairs and sending quotes to fleet maintenance team.
Managing the movement and turnaround time of out-of-service vehicles at branch.
Management and control of weekly fleet checks for the region.
Overseeing capturing of fuel check sheets.
Sending out the missing vehicle report and ensuring it gets cleared.
Informing all relevant staff of missing vehicles in their respective brancharea.
Manage the RNR30 (Missing Kilometre) report.
Rectifying irregular kilometer movements.
Report any issues found on the report.
De-Fleeting
Managing of de-fleeting process.
Informing all relevant dealers of units to be inspected.
Ensuring all units are collected / delivered after inspections to the relevant dealers.
Ensuring that all orders, appraisal sheet reach relevant dealers.
Ensuring that all staff has updated de-fleeting lists.
Daily updating of de-fleet lists.
Notifying all branches off de-fleets.
Daily communicating with branches regarding de-fleets.
Ensuring that all delivery notes are captured on the Impress and ERA submitted for processing.
Vehicle License Management
Monthly license renewal report
Managing of expired licensed vehiclereports
Manage the updates of licenses on Era and Impress
Spare Key Management
Ensure that spare keys are returned to Division within 3 days of request.
Stolen and Recovered Vehicles
Arrange collecting of recovered vehicles.
