Role Summary
We are seeking a results-driven
Fleet Sales Executive
to focus on cultivating, growing and servicing fleet and commercial vehicle accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying fleet business opportunities, structuring deals, negotiating terms, and ensuring the seamless delivery of vehicles and after-sales support. You will act as the key point of contact for clients and internal teams to ensure the fleet experience aligns with our service standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed monthly and annual fleet sales targets.
Prospect, engage and convert new clients in the fleet / commercial vehicle sector (including SMEs and corporates) and manage the entire sales process from lead generation through to delivery and after-sales support.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers such as procurement managers, fleet managers, business owners and finance/leasing partners.
Present, quote and negotiate compelling fleet proposals including pricing, funding/lease options, service packages, commercial terms and delivery schedules.
Collaborate closely with internal teams--Finance & Insurance (F&I), Logistics, After-sales Service, Commercial Vehicles, Marketing--to ensure smooth implementation and client satisfaction.
Monitor market and competitor trends within the fleet industry; provide input into product, service and pricing strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely sales documentation, pipeline reports, CRM updates and forecasting.
Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring post-delivery follow-up, issue resolution and client retention.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in fleet, commercial vehicle or corporate business-to-business (B2B) sales.
Proven track record in achieving or exceeding sales targets in a fleet or mobility solutions context.
Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills, particularly at senior levels.
Understanding of commercial vehicle sales processes, fleet procurement, leasing/rental options and funding structures.
Valid South African driver's licence and reliable transport.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and working experience with CRM systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication; professional presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Attributes
Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, Marketing or a related field would be advantageous.
Existing network of fleet or commercial vehicle clients/customers within the Gauteng market.
Experience with passenger and commercial vehicle fleets (light/medium duty) and understanding of end-user business mobility requirements.
Entrepreneurial mindset, able to identify new market opportunities and develop creative solutions.
Familiarity with after-sales service value-adds, maintenance programmes and customer lifecycle management.
