The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management, scheduling, and compliance of company vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective fleet operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
oCoordinate vehicle allocation, scheduling, and utilization
oMonitor vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs
oEnsure fleet compliance with legal, safety, and company requirements
oMaintain accurate fleet records (registrations, insurance, licenses, fuel, mileage)
oCoordinate with drivers, employees, and service providers
oTrack fuel usage, costs, and fleet performance metrics
oHandle accident reports, claims, and incident documentation
oSupport fleet cost control and optimization initiatives
oPrepare fleet reports and support audits
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
oGrade 12/Matric
oDiploma or Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field (preferred)
o2-5 years of experience in fleet or transport coordination
oKnowledge of local transport regulations and compliance requirements
oValid driver's license (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Experience and Job-Related Competencies:
oStrong organizational and coordination skills
oKnowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards
oGood communication and stakeholder management skills
oAttention to detail and record-keeping accuracy
oProblem-solving and decision-making ability
oProficiency in MS Excel and fleet management systems
