To track and drive for early involvement and follow up on project pipeline (Project Sales Approach) to enhance the specification of Saint-Gobain solutions and new products and follow through to order
To actively engage in-territory specifiers and key industry players (Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Contractors, Developers and Bureau of Standards and Government depts.) through conventions, direct engagements and conferences to build and maintain collaborative relationships and enhance the visibility of Saint-Gobain solutions
To proactively identify new opportunities for enhanced specifications, uncovering and understanding these through application of trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, commercial awareness and in depth knowledge of customers' businesses to improve specification
To provide project support through site inspections for improved application and compliance
To work cross functionally with sales, customer service, warehouse and demand planning to meet customer request.
To liaise with building project's design team and professional consultants, if required.
Is this job for you?
Tertiary qualification in Engineering / Building Technology/Construction Management/ Quantity Surveying or Equivalent qualification within the Built Environment. 2 years' experience within the built environment with valid drivers licence as the successful candidate will be travelling throughout Southern Africa when required. Your fundamental technical knowledge of construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness will set you apart. Excellent project management skills and good eye for detail will ensure success to this role.
To make sure nothing is forgotten
To develop and manage Saint-Gobain engagement programmes and relationships with specifiers and other industry players (Incl. SA based that work outside of RSA) in order to promote Saint-Gobain solutions and products. To develop and manage systems and processes for improved project pipeline growth, tracking & management, specification, customer relationship management, point of sale material development and skills development/ training to enhance customer service and specification of the Saint-Gobain offering.
To maximise opportunities for company products and systems through offering specialist knowledge of water transmission infrastructure in line with the company objectives and meeting contractual KPIs
