Job Description
Well established engineering firm based just outside of Bedford is seeking a qualified or highly experienced Fitter & Turner/Machinist.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various types of mechanical equipment, such as lathes, mills and grinders.
- Fabricate, assemble and install mechanical components based on detailed drawings and specifications
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure machinery runs at optimal efficiency
- Interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints with precision
- Work closely with the engineering team to identify areas for improvement and resolve issues.
- Proven experience as Fitter & Turner/Machinist
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work with a range of equipment
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
- MIG, TIG and Arc Welding
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (preferred)
- Own vehicle preferred
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
