Duties and Responsibilities

Key performance areas (Duties and Responsibilities):

Able to operate lathes, milling machines, and other equipment to create precision parts and components according to specifications. Assembling and fitting parts together to create machinery or mechanical units, following technical drawings and specifications. Conducting regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment, troubleshooting any issues, and performing necessary repairs. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols during manufacturing. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to understand the specifications and requirements. Selecting, setting up, and maintaining tools and equipment for various machining tasks. Working alongside engineers and other technicians to develop and improve manufacturing processes and solve technical problems. Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any alterations made during fabrication. Following health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment, and appropriately using personal protective equipment (PPE). * Participating in initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations within the workshop or production facility.
