Job Description
FITTER
KZN MIDLANDS
We are looking for a qualified Fitter with experience as a chargehand and knowledge of coal fired boilers. water and steam reticulation.
Education
o Minimum N2 in a mechanical field
o Recognized trade test in Fitting/Fitting & Turning
Experience
o 5 years fitting experience in heavy machinery.
Coal fired boilers, 500Cfm to 1000Cfm
compressors, Centrifugal and piston type water pumps.
o Preferred experience in a charge hand or foreman position
Knowledge and Skills
o Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, water and steam reticulation
o To be able to work under pressure with breakdowns
o To be practically inclined and can work with hands and tools
o Ability to read and understand mechanical drawing
