National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 is essential. Qualified Fitter. 2 years of related experience as a Fitter will be advantageous. Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment materials and tools of the electric trade, including use and care of trade tools and equipment. Task and deadline orientated with excellent planning, organising, prioritising and time management skills. Ability to do welding. Ability to communicate and coordinate with supervisors, subordinates, vendors and personnel. Willing to work overtime, weekends and stand by shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
The installation, maintenance, inspection and repairs of mechanical systems and equipment Interpret and work from instructions, penciled plans, sketches, and blueprints. Performing general mechanical maintenance. Completing all required documentation such as job cards, inspection lists, etc. Performing work efficiently to minimize breakdowns and downtime. Performing preventative maintenance. Experience in the following will be an added advantage:
- FMCG machines;
- Electrical VSD Drivers
- Water pumps
