Job Summary

Job Title: Fitter
Our client, a fast-paced, high-volume poultry processing facility based in Izotsha, is looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter to support maintenance and production operations. Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience as a mechanical fitter or similar role
Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent)
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
Physically fit, able to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
Basic welding or fabrication experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems using technical drawings and blueprints
Install and align heavy machinery, pumps, conveyors, valves, and piping systems
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical equipment
Use hand and power tools, and precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Conduct functional and pressure tests to ensure optimal system performance
Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes and structural components as required
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or part replacements following safety protocols
