Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled and certified Fitters and Turners to join our team. As a Fitter and Turner, you will play a vital role in assembling, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical components. If you're a qualified fitter and turner with South African qualifications and experience, we want to hear from you!Tasks

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to fabricate metal parts and components
• Fit and assemble mechanical parts and subassemblies according to engineering specifications
• Perform precision machining and turning operations to produce components with tight tolerances
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and recommend appropriate repairs or adjustments
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, labor hours, and job progress
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times

Requirements

• Trade certificate or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting and Turning) from a recognized institution in South Africa
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a fitter and turner in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills
• Experience with precision machining and turning operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
