Our client in the automotive component manufacturing industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Fitter and Turner (EE). This is a 3- month contract position.
Requirements:
- Trade test qualifications or Equivalent.
- 5 years working experience in manufacturing or engineering department.
- Strong Mechanical knowledge or Skills.
- Valid driverxe2x80x99s License.
- Own transport.
- Use and read all types of measuring equipment.
- Understand the working principle of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Attend to all machine breakdowns.
- Interpret technical drawings.
- General Turning and machining.
- Perform machine settings and changes when requested.
- Identify quality issues and report.
- Complete PM check with Maintenance system ODIN.
- Participate with monthly stock take, rectification of variances and spare part control.
- Manufacturing of spare parts and changes to parts.
- Updating and control of Engineering drawings.
- Assist with Tooling and new equipment try-outs.
- Daily checking on crucial equipment like, cooling towers and compressors.
- Housekeeping in Maintenance areas and where engineering work or repairs is carried out in the company.
