The Gas Company is a locally respected provider of fireplace installation, maintenance, and repair services. We work with top-tier gas, wood, and fireplace systems to bring warmth and ambiance to homes and businesses across South Africa. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fireplace Installer / Technician to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of fireplace systems, including gas and wood-burning,. This role requires a strong understanding of safety codes, HVAC or venting knowledge, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Install fireplaces, stoves, inserts, and venting systems (gas and wood) Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs Ensure compliance with all building codes and safety regulations Educate customers on product use, safety, and maintenance Maintain clean and professional job sites Complete job-related documentation and reports
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in fireplace installation or as a technician (gas, wood, or electric) Working knowledge of gas lines, venting, masonry, or HVAC systems is a strong plus Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Pay: R12000,00 per month
