Fire Engineer - CPT, Northern SuburbsWestern Cape>Cape Town: Northern SuburbsWe're seeking a skilled Fire Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to join our innovative team! Take your career to the next level while working on challenging projects that make a real impact on safety and efficiency.:Create detailed designs for fire protection systems, including hydrant and sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulationsPerform hydraulic and flow calculations to ensure the proper functioning of fire protection systems, optimizing the design for efficiency and effectivenessAttend site meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers to assess project requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure designs align with client needs and industry standardsPrepare detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, including schematics, plans, and specifications for fire protection systems and componentsWork with a wide range of pipes, valves, and fittings tailored for the active fire and hydrant plumbing markets, selecting and recommending the best products for each projectLiaise with active and passive fire companies, HVAC installers, and building contractors to coordinate the installation of fire protection systems and ensure seamless project deliveryEnsure all designs, products, and installations meet high-quality standards, delivering reliable and compliant fire protection systems to clientsProvide ongoing support to clients and colleagues, offering troubleshooting assistance and guidance during and after installationStay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements to enhance expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes Skills & Experience:Afrikaans and English speakingDesigns, flow calculations, site meetings, AutoCAD and REVITAbility to work effectively within a diverse teamA strong focus on delivering high-quality results Minimum requirementsDiploma/ BTech or BEng in Mechanical Engineering 3 years of experience in building services Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
