Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Senior Statutory Accountant to join our EMEA Financial Reporting Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation of statutory financial statements, management of external audits, and execution of tax compliance activities across a portfolio of entities. You will collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local GAAP, tax legislation, and corporate policies.

We trust you to:

Preparing

statutory financial statements

for a portfolio of EMEA-based legal entities. Managing

external audits

from planning to completion, including responding to PBC (Prepared By Client) requests, reconciliations, and coordination with audit teams. Performing

US GAAP to Local GAAP reconciliations

and maintaining clear documentation. Supporting

monthly and year-end closing activities

, including balance sheet reconciliations and SOX controls documentation (binders). Preparing and/or reviewing monthly

and annual

VAT declarations

,

Intrastat reports, waste reporting

Supporting

quarterly and

annual tax compliance

processes by liaising with external consultants and providing data for

CIT returns

and

questionnaires

. Conducting analytical reviews to identify irregular transactions and recommending adjustments as needed. Supporting the Statutory Reporting Manager in process improvements, standardization efforts, and best practice implementation across entities. Providing

guidance to junior team members

, reviewing work, and ensuring deliverables are met on time. Assisting with

ad hoc accounting and finance projects

as required. Liaising with internal teams (GL, Tax, FP&A) to ensure coordinated and accurate reporting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Minimum of

3 years of relevant experience

in accounting, statutory reporting, or audit (Big 4 or multinational environment preferred). Solid understanding of

financial statements

local GAAP

,

tax compliance

, and

external audit processes

. Proven experience working with external auditors and tax consultants. Advanced

Microsoft Excel

skills; ability to work with large datasets and use advanced functions. Working knowledge of

SAP ERP

is an advantage. Strong communication skills in

(both verbal and written); knowledge of a second European language (e.g., German, Dutch, French, Italian) is a plus. Familiarity with working in a

Shared Services environment
