MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualification: An Accounting Degree (BCom or equivalent) 3-5 years' relevant experience in a Finance role Proficiency in Microsoft Office (esp. MS Excel) Knowledge of one or more computerized accounting systems Knowledge in SARS Assessments, VAT, PAYE etc. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Driver's License

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing & Maintaining Financial statements Preparing and submitting tax returns Recording accounts payable and accounts receivable Administering banking activities & day-to-day finances Assisting in budget preparation Preparing & processing invoices Using manual & computerized bookkeeping systems to keep, report, maintain and balance financial records Prepare monthly accounting reconciliation reports Ensure Financial controls are adhered to Assist in preparation of year-end audits

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

IT Skills: including the ability to use software packages related to finance and accounting to produce financial reports, audits and keep track of financial transactions Analytical Skills: to investigate potential discrepancies in financial records and understand the direction of the business' financial health Problem Solving Skills: to resolve any challenges that may occur while managing budgets and executing financial reporting. Soft Skills: Team Player, Pride in their work, Willing to learn, Emotional Intelligence, Strong written and oral communication skills, eye for detail and excellent time management skills.

Candidate must also be willing to undertake any other duties requested by the general manager, These duties are not limited and may vary depending on client and business developments.
