Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing complex financial models that support the business in making data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain robust financial models for mining operations, capital projects, and feasibility studies
- Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support commercial and investment decisions
- Work closely with technical, commercial, and finance teams to ensure that models are aligned with operational realities
- Present model outputs and insights to senior stakeholders and support strategic recommendations
- Continuously update models based on operational inputs, market dynamics, and business priorities
- Ensure that financial models are accurate, compliant, and meet industry best practices
- Bachelor's Degree in Maths, Stats or Finance
- Proven experience in financial modelling, preferably in the mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong Excel modelling skills and proficiency in building dynamic, multi-variable models from scratch
- Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into financial and business implications
- Solid understanding of valuation, project finance, and investment analysis principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
