Our client is one of Cape Towns leading hotel and conference destinations, comprising of hotel rooms, bedroom apartments, and extensive conferencing and leisure facilities. Our client, owned and operated by a foreign real estate investor, is looking for a skilled Financial Manager to join their team. The Financial Manager will lead a small finance team and oversee all day-to-day accounting and tax matters across three business entities, with additional oversight over purchasing, inventory control and payroll. The role also requires high-level supervision of a sectional title scheme, of which the day-to-day finance function is handled by an external managing agent. Key Responsibilities include: Annual: *Leading budgeting for hotel, rental pool, and body corporate *Supporting feasibility studies for new developments and business initiatives *Preparing year-end trial balances and liaise with auditors *Managing provisional tax calculations and submissions. Monthly: *Preparing management accounts for hotel and rental pool *Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and body corporate accounts *Overseeing payroll, VAT submissions (eFiling), and pension fund compliance (THACSA) *Preparing cash flow forecasts and maintain fixed asset register. Weekly & Daily: *Overseeing debtors and creditors control *Monitoring daily cash flow and releasing payments *Managing a finance team of three *Providing financial insight to support operational decision-making. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Qualification as CA(SA) with 3-5 years relevant post-articles experience highly preferred, OR Degree in Accounting with approximately 7 years relevant experience; Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and corporate finance principles; Strong computer proficiency (MS Excel & accounting software).
