Job Description
Position: Finance Manager Operations
Location: Durban
Salary: R 900 000 to 1 mil
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for costing procedures and the costing team
- Producing daily work in progress (WIP) costing schedules for project managers
- Reports for Directors review to make sound business decisions
- Ensure all project closures
- Working with the operational team on cost efficiencies on large ongoing projects, including negotiating best pricing and payment terms with suppliers and contractors
- Work with the Group finance team to improve capital cycles
- Improve invoicing and cash collection procedure
- Prepare financial forecasts the business unit
- Improve stock and asset control procedures
- Work with the finance team to improve reporting times of monthly management accounts
- General oversight and administration management of the finance team
- Ad hoc tasks of strategic nature as required by the Executive Directors
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or CIMA
- Experience in an operational position and environment
- Implementing best practice policies
- Ensuring compliance of accounting provisions in terms of IFRS and legislation
- Strong team management
