Financial Manager – Manufacturing/retail

Job Description
Location: Durban
Our profitable client who is a leader in their field, is looking for a competent Finance Manager to lead a division of their business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and Exco reports
- Review and action of balance sheet and financial variances
- Provide financial analysis to operational areas of the business
- Monitor and support debtors and creditors, including reconciliations
- Compile and post month-end journals, budgets, and daily cash forecasts
- Ensure statutory reporting, compliance documentation, and audit requirements are met
- Develop and implement internal controls and cash flow management strategies
- Lead stakeholder engagements and provide leadership to the Finance Division
- Manage a team of financial support staff
- MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Power BI for financial reporting and analytics - advantageous
- Pastel Accounting, Pastel Audit Mate
- SARS E-Filing, Easy Filing
- Sage AccPac, SAP
- Strong background in manufacturing and/or retail finance
- Proven ability to drive change and influence stakeholders
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Professional qualification (CA/CPA/CIMA or BComm Finance) preferred
