Location: Limpopo (Private Game Reserve)
Salary: R70,000 - R85,000 per month (depending on experience) + Accommodation + Meals + Medical Aid and Provident Fund

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to take responsibility for the full accounting and financial management function of a private game reserve hospitality operation. The role is operational and strategic, overseeing day-to-day finance, monthly reporting, compliance, budgeting, forecasting and cost control, while supporting the General Manager and Head Office with financial insight and decision-making.
Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for the accounting and financial function for the hospitality operation
  • Day-to-day processing of invoices, journals and financial transactions
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, executive summaries and variance analysis
  • Submission of monthly management packs to Head Office
  • Cash flow management, forecasting and payment processing
  • Monthly payroll reconciliation, EMP201 submissions, VAT reconciliation and statutory compliance
  • Supplier and debtor management, including age analysis and payments
  • Budget preparation, monthly forecasting and cost control
  • Stock take review and processing of related journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of variances
  • Coordination with external auditors during year-end audits
  • Financial guidance and support to departmental heads
  • Strong collaboration with Head Office finance and on-property leadership
  • Adherence to group finance SOPs and reporting standards
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' financial management experience, including at least 2 years in hospitality
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE Evolution and/or SAGE Intacct
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of IFRS, IAS and South African tax/VAT legislation
  • Experience with Opera and Micros (advantageous)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Package Includes:
  • Basic salary (R70k-R85k per month)
  • Accommodation on the reserve (per company policy)
  • One staff meal per day while on duty or meal allowance
  • Medical aid contribution (50% for main member)
  • Provident fund (5% employee / 5% employer)
  • Statutory contributions (SDL & UIF)
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus
