Job Description
South Coast, Durban. Financial Manager position with well-established concern in the Agriculture industry. 8-10 Years experience in a Finance role and at least 5 years experience in a senior management role.
Responsibilities:
- Cashbook & Bank Reconciliation
- Petty Cash controls and reimbursement
- Invoicing
- Approval of large bulk orders
- Debtors & Creditors Reconciliations
- Processing of EFT payments and month end creditors
- Journal Entries and Cost Coding
- PAYE, UIF, SDL, IRP5's and VAT Returns
- Knowledge of tax laws
- Preparation of Annual Budgets and monthly monitoring
- Cash Flow Forecasting
- Liaise with Banks in consultation with COO regarding cash flow forecasts and asset financing
- Costing analysis of farming operations
- Compile and maintain Fixed Asset Register
- Processing depreciation journals
- Compiling monthly Financial Management Reports for Directors & Trustees
- Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts
- Year-end preparation for Auditors
- Passing the year end journals from the Auditors
- Finance Degree
- 8-10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a finance role and at least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a senior management role
- General understanding of the agricultural industry, and sugarcane in particular would be an advantage
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excel - advanced level
- Pastel, SARS E-Filing and uFiling
- VIP Payroll, and CanePro in particular would be advantageous
