Purpose of the role

To support the Finance business unit in achieving its overall performance objectives by leading the Financial Accountant team and their individual performance.

Bank & petty cash

Compliance with statutory financial requirements incl.

Preparing and filing the returns

Expert financial advice to management and shareholders

Stock management

Fixed asset management

Accounting component of payroll processes

Company risks

Coordinate and manage the organisations financial budget - including forecasts

Financial department cost

Business Planning and objective setting for finance department

Monitoring and reviewing

Develop and enhance workflow processes - systems and how we do things

Input into financial structures and roles

People and enabling capacity

Resolve escalated issues

Input into company strategy and financial strategy

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant tertiary qualification (but preferably professional accounting qualification - CIMA / CA / HON BCOM)

At least five years' experience in leading and Managing an Accountant Team.
