Masters/ Bachelors degree in accounting and finance
Preferably a Qualified (CA)SA or ACCA
A Minimum of 10 years of relevant financial management and accounting in a reputable organization
A good understanding of IFRS
Demonstrated track record
Excellent experience in the use of financial accounting software (Sage Pastel/SAP, etc)
Experience in the use of Payroll software
Responsibilities
Prepare and Present Budgets for Exco, Committees and Board approvals
Review performance of investments and forecast interest and dividend returns and the implications thereof on annual budgets and long-term financial strategy
Manage the day-to-day activities of the finance department.
Manage relations with Banks and other financial service providers.
Prepare and update financial statements on a monthly basis
Ensure BBBEE verification readiness for the client
Develop and regularly update the delegation of authority for Board approval at least annually
Prepare monthly Value Added Tax (VAT201) calculations and submit Returns timeously to avoid penalties
Define goals, responsibilities, accountability and measurable deliverables of each team member within the financial department
Identify and assess on regular basis any financial risks facing the organisation specifically related to investments, funding, operations and compliance
