Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is urgently seeking a Financial Manager in Heidelberg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be someone who is self-motivated, a problem solver, and takes ownership of their work. You will work closely with other department managers and provide financial guidance to ensure that financial targets are met throughout the year. You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of financial analysts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing accurate and timely reporting to management
• Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making processes
• Import and Export compliance
• Strong Forex experience and maintain banking relationships
• Monitor and manage cash flow, and banking relationships to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax and statutory reporting requirements
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives, cost control measures, and profitability enhancement efforts
• Review and investigate any discrepancies around costing
• Operational variance analysis including labour, variable, fixed and material cost variances
• Assist operations to identify gaps and drive performance
• Monthly P&Lxe2x80x99s and management reports
• Maintenance of BOMxe2x80x99s and costings
• Review and recommend opportunities to reduce expenditure and optimize efficiencies to improve profits
• Oversee the IT Function of the Company

Requirements

• CA/CPA
• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• 3+ years in Costing
• Syspro experience
• In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role within a manufacturing company
