Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager for an industrial equipment supplier based in the Edenvale/Modderfontein area

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall Financial Management function
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of all financial reporting
• Ensuring legal compliance on financial/hr related functions - Audits, VAT, Labour, BEE, Banking, Tax
• Manage Accounts, Debtors, Creditors
• Oversee all HR/payroll related affairs - salaries, commissions and related
• Preparation of annual and quarterly budgets
• Generation of monthly management accounts including reporting on GP's, variances, provisions and accruals
• Analysis of P&L Management accounts
• Investigate and understand variances on management accounts
• Preparation of ad hoc management reports
• Review and approve customer credit applications
• Deal with legal issues, in particular potential bad debt
• Plan and implement best business practice to optimize cash flow
• Management and control of companies assets, procurement and asset register
• Ensure and manage stock levels to optimize cash flow
• Full understanding of key issues affecting results
• Company liaison for contractors, banking, insurance
• Attend and participate in board meetings
• Maintain operating expenses below budget

Requirements

• B Com degree in Finance/Accounting is NON negotiable
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Financial Manager position is essential
• MS Office
• Relevant Sage, Pastel, SAP accounting software experience
• Advanced Excel experience
• Salary dependent on relevant experience and qualification
• South African Citizens only
