Lead and manage the finance department
Ensure monthly reporting of actual vs budgeted financials are complete with comments explaining any variances
Create an environment for growth and personal development for the finance team
Review and approve payment requisitions prepared by the Creditors Clerk
Ensure monthly deadlines are met
Prepare annual statutory audit files for each business
Review monthly VAT reconciliations and ensure VAT201s are submitted and accurate
Assist and address any audit-related queries to help finalise annual statutory audits
Report on the management accounts with comments to explain movements and trends in financial information
Ensure monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations are performed and filed accurately
Process general journals and filing journals accordingly with audit-supporting documents
Assist Executive Manager with completing annual budgets
Review monthly management accounts incl. balance sheets and income statements to ensure the accuracy of information
Ensure cash flow is optimized and managed effectively for all businesses under administration
Design and implement sound financial controls to mitigate risks
Ensure all statutory and compliance documents are filed and kept up to date for each business.

Skills & Experience:
Big 4 or Medium sized firms
Minimum 1-2 years of commercial experience
Technically strong with good IFRS and VAT knowledge
Hands-on, entrepreneurial individual with a fixer-upper attitude
