Job Description

We're partnering with a well-established insurance and financial services group seeking a Finance Manager ideally a CA(SA) with about two years' post-articles experience to join their Cape Town head office. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key role within a stable, well-structured business that values professional growth, innovation, and continuous improvement across its finance function.
What you will be doing:

• Oversee financial management of the finance division and guide a team of accountants.
• Review monthly accounting processing, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Manage cashflow, investments, and approval of payments and collections.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of control accounts, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Handle VAT and income tax calculations and submissions.
• Prepare statutory and regulatory returns (FSCA, Prudential Authority, Reserve Bank, SARS, NAMFISA).
• Compile annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and internal controls.

What we are looking for:

• Qualified CA(SA) with 2+ years post-articles experience.
• Exposure to the financial services or short-term insurance industry highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and time management skills.
• Confident communicator and collaborative team player.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Great Plains, SAP, or Accpac beneficial.
