Job Description

Seeking a finance professional with a background in the manufacturing, FMCG, or retail space. The Financial Manager role will take responsibility for the accounting of the various ledgers and legal entities.

Position: Financial Manager
Location: Cape Town, Northern Suburbs
Salary: R 600 000 to R 700 000 (depending on experience)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Financial Control and implementation
• Financial management
• Full accounting, transactional processing and entity administration of the financial records for all the relevant companies
• Profit and Loss activity and balance sheet activity
• Reporting
• Review and evaluate daily Sales and expanse forecasts
• Prepare month-end results, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Trade Accounts Receivable
• Trade Accounts Payable
• Variance analysis
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Cashbook, treasury, cash flow and payment management and related Forex gains and losses
• Fixed assets reconciliation and reporting
• Stock ensure correct accounting entries and provisions are adhered to
• Prepare CAPEX budget, and ROI calculation
• Manage procedures for financial controls, accounting, costing and reporting
• Tax, Statutory, and Audit
• Working Capital Management
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable age analyses
• Fixed Asset Management
• Ensure accurate costing of stock
• Monthly Measurement of Working Capital targets
• Improve processes and procedures
• Team management (8 people)
• Address ad hoc queries from businesses and suppliers/customers where required

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom
• Industry preference: FMCG / Manufacturing / Retail / Pharmaceutical
• Excellent management and leadership skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Effectively and efficiently manage the working capital
