Job Description

Financial reporting, analysis and preparation on monthly management reports to present to board
Review monthly management accounts pack
Review financial information processed by accounting team
Review monthly balance sheet recon file
Analysis and identification of incurred costs versus budget
Identify cost saving opportunities to improve financial wellbeing
Review reconciled expenditure reports
Calculate and reconcile VAT payable on a monthly basis
Review monthly EMP201 submissions
Annual income tax calculation and submission
Check, verify and release electronic bank payments
Review petty cash and reconcile monthly
Ensure cash-flow forecast done monthly
Ensure the F&B stores department operate effectively in securing best products and pricing structure
Perform detailed analysis and review on Cost of Sales percentage to identify problems
Planning and oversight of monthly stock counts
Spot checks on stock counts
Identify slow moving stock
Ensure Cost of sales targets are maintained
Ensure accurate and timeous submission of timesheet info to payroll monthly
Ensure payroll related costs are within approved Manplan
Review and approval of final pay register for business units
Ensure maintenance of fixed asset register
Compile annual budgets for submission to CFO
Review budgeted fees and expenses for large variances and resolve
Preparation of forecast for financial year
Prepare Annual Audit file
Assist with audit queries
Manage risk and ensure audit compliance
Manage teams performance and delegate work
Ensure appropriate control are in place to address operational risks
Ensure operational risk mitigation

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 4 -5 years experience in a similar position
Hospitality industry experience highly beneficial
Strong technical accounting skills
Team management experience

Qualification:
Minimum of a BCom Finance Qualification
