Minimum Requirements:

• Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Possess a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Advantageous: SAIPA / CIMA experience.
• Have proven experience working on SAGE and Pastel Partner.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced skills, including the ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
• Valid Drivers License.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day processing activities of the finance team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions.
• Review and provide approval for monthly reconciliations to ensure the precision of financial records and to detect any inconsistencies.
• Supervise the company's treasury functions, strategically managing cash flow, liquidity, and investments to align with the organisation's financial objectives.
• Guarantee the punctual completion of the month-end process, including the preparation of essential monthly journal entries for precise financial reporting.
• Collaborate with pertinent teams to ensure the accurate capture of all financial data.
• Prepare and manage the successful execution of the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and propose strategies for enhancing financial outcomes.
• Continuously assess existing financial processes and protocols, identifying opportunities for optimisation, automation, and increased efficiency.
• Implement enhancements to streamline workflows and minimise manual interventions.
• Ensure the company's adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards by maintaining a current understanding of pertinent regulations and applying them to financial reporting.
• Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by the Managing Director, contributing financial expertise to cross-functional initiatives.
