Financial Manager Claremont Cape Town

Our client is looking for a Financial Manager with 7-10 years plus experience. This is a Hybrid job and remote and office work is required. Have the ability to manage/oversee 2-3 additional staff in the finance department. The main task will be to manage the financial department/function debtor's book, manage creditors, and bank. Experience in an FMCG, Marketing, Retail, Distribution Channels, Digital Advertising, and Media is preferable

Salary Very Negotiable (Depends on level and current years of experience) Hybrid Job

Min Requirements

  • Financial Degree
  • Must have good working IT skills on Pastel (Client uses own inhouse system)
  • Excellent Excel skills xe2x80x93 intermediate to advanced
  • 7 years plus of working experience as a Financial Accountant Financial Manager
  • The ability to manage and oversee 3rd parties service providers
  • Ideally from the FMCG industry
Responsibilities
  • Manage the Finance Department report to CEO
  • Manage debtors book - The AR function is executed by a 3rd party service provider
  • Hold meetings with the 3rd party team to ensure all is on track and to help resolve any issues
  • Manage Creditors - Manage and oversee a creditors clerk/finance administrator who oversees all creditor payments and ensures all payments are accurate
  • Manage bank / Nedbank / Std Bank
  • The FM must be intimately involved in this process and ensure this facility runs smoothly
  • Complete month-end bank recon
  • Regular Financial Reports
  • Produce all financial statements and others each month (cash flow, income statement, TB)
  • Payroll - Ensure payroll is accurate (payroll outsourced)
  • SARS - ensure all VAT, Paye, Tax is paid, managed etc
  • External auditors - Deal with the company auditors
  • Be responsible for year-end audits with the external auditor
  • System accuracy - Ensure at month end that all entries/allocations/accruals/reversals/postings are correct
  • Handle any other queries etc that may come through each month.
  • Cost-saving ideas and Improvements to structure/systems/processes
  • Strategic input - Be able to provide input to the company on a strategic level
  • Act as the HR manager and manage the admin related to staff
  • Be the main contact with BBE service providers
