Listed UK Mining and Resource group is looking to appoint an adept Finance Manager to their South African operations. This is a remote working position, thus the incumbent can be located anywhere within South Africa.

The ideal candidate will preferably have a professional qualification, though candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. A minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience is required, with commercial experience in mining, resources, construction, engineering, manufacturing or related sectors a distinct advantage.

The incumbent will be responsible for the financial accounting and management of the local operations and possibly UK-based entities, with possible limited travel to countries in Southern Africa. The incumbent will also be overseeing and managing the finance staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the full finance function.
• Responsible for financial reporting.
• Compilation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Compilation of monthly cash flow forecast.
• Management of budget process.
• Manage statutory reporting.
• Management of audit process and liaising with auditors.
• Coordination of secretarial requirements with auditors.
• Oversee and manage the finance team.
• Oversight and continuous assessment of all finance processes.
• Liaise with third-party stakeholders, banks, SARB, etc.
• Responsible for document management.
• Prepare monthly project costing reports.
• Ad hoc duties as required.

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in accounting, finance or similar.
• Professional designation highly advantageous - CA(SA), ACMA CGMA (CIMA), ACCA, PA(SA).
• Completed SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA articles.
• Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience, with relevant commercial experience post articles.
• Mining, Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing experience during or post-articles is a benefit.
• MS Excel skills essential.

• R600,000 to R900,000 pa cost to company, depending on experience and qualifications.
