Financial Controller job vacancy in Somerset West.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage full bookkeeping and accounting functions, including journals, ledgers, and monthly accounts.
Perform all reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors, intercompany).
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management.
Prepare monthly financial reports and analyse financial data for decision-making.
Handle all statutory compliance, including VAT, PAYE, UIF, and SARS submissions through eFiling and e@syFile.
Prepare audit documentation and support statutory audit processes.
Process payroll accurately using Payspace and ensure legislative compliance.
Maintain financial systems, especially Xero, and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Strengthen and uphold internal financial controls and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 4 years relevant accounting/finance experience.
Strong bookkeeping, reporting, reconciliation, and general accounting skills.
Solid understanding of financial principles, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
Experience in payroll processing (Payspace preferred).
Proficient in Xero and SARS eFiling, for both processing and reporting.
Strong Excel skills and overall computer literacy.
Analytical thinker with attention to accuracy and detail.
