The Financial Controller in logistics oversees all financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and cost control. They analyse operational costs, manage financial risks, and support strategic decisions to improve efficiency and profitability. Their role is key in maintaining compliance and providing financial insight to drive the business forward.
Duties:

• Oversee and manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyse logistics and supply chain costs to identify areas for cost-saving and improved efficiency.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Support procurement, warehousing, and transportation teams with financial insights and decision-making tools.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support smooth operational performance.
• Liaise with External Auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support strategic planning.
• Lead and mentor finance team members, ensuring professional development and performance.
• Implement and maintain ERP and financial systems to streamline financial processes across the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting Degree
• 5 years' experience in logistics
• CPA
• ACCA
• CIMA

• BCom Financial Management or similar
• CIMA will be an advantage
