Job Description
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Financial Controller to join a leading business. This position plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations and ensuring robust financial reporting in line with international standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the annual budgeting process and ongoing budget updates.
- Monitoring actual performance vs. budgets and analyzing variances.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and ad hoc reports.
- Assisting in the preparation of quarterly board packs.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies and IFRS standards.
- Overseeing accounts receivable, payable, and cashbook functions.
- Managing daily cash flow and maintaining banking activities.
- Handling VAT submissions, tax requirements, and audit preparation.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and supporting B-BBEE compliance.
- Continuously identifying and implementing process improvements.
- A BCom in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Solid understanding of finance principles and IFRS.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Accpac experience- preferred
