As the Finance Controller, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization. Directly reporting to the Head of Finance, your duties encompass the supervision of financial activities, the implementation of controls, the provision of strategic insights, and the management of the finance team.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with expertise in financial management, encompassing day-to-day operations such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. They must ensure strict compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements. The candidate should excel in reporting and analysis, prepare accurate and timely financial reports while conducting variance analysis to support decision-making. Strong risk management skills are essential, involving the identification of financial risks and the implementation of effective mitigation strategies. The candidate should possess specific skills in costing, credit control, financial control, financial report writing and leadership.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience with the FMCG industry.
- Shown experience in financial management.
- Possess a professional certification (e.g., SAICA, CIMA), if possible.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
