My client is a South African-based company that operates in the chemical, explosives, and related sectors and involved in the water and process sectors, offering solutions for water treatment, wastewater management, and process optimization.
The successful applicant will report to the Senior Financial Manager and will be responsible for collaborating with other departments to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these financial plans, and providing analysis to support decision-making. Implementing cost control measures to optimize expenses in areas such as exploration, extraction, processing, and transportation of minerals. Identifying financial risks specific to the mining industry, such as commodity price fluctuations, regulatory changes, and environmental concerns, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks. Assisting with internal and external audits by providing financial records, explanations, and documentation.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA)
- 2-3 years post article experience
- Mining industry background experience is advantageous
