Position: Financial Controller
Location: Johannesburg North, Gauteng
Salary: R 750 000.00 - R 800 000.00 per annum

Job and Company Description:
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

• Understanding operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding VAT and creditors.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis activities within the organisation. This includes developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting is a key duty of a Finance Controller. They oversee the preparation of financial statements, manage the general ledger, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Internal Controls and Risk Management: Finance Controllers are responsible for establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud. They assess financial risks, implement risk management strategies, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Cash Flow Management: Managing cash flow is crucial for the financial health of an organisation. Finance Controllers monitor cash inflow and outflow, develop cash flow forecasts, and implement strategies to optimize cash management, such as managing working capital and liquidity effectively.
• Financial Strategy and Decision Support: Finance Controllers provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. They evaluate investment opportunities, assess the financial implications of different initiatives, and provide recommendations to management on financial strategies.
• Team Leadership and Management: Finance Controllers lead and manage the finance team, ensuring efficient and effective operations. They set performance objectives, provide guidance and mentorship to team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department.

Qualifications and Experience:

• CA(SA) accreditation is essential
• Experience in the manufacturing industry
• 0 to 2 years post articles experience
• Management Experience
